 Blogging about Advertising Design 

I've always wanted to start a blog but it just seemed sooooo intimidating. What do I write about? Will anyone care? 

As it happens, I am now part of a collective where writing a blog about my evolution through the different aspects of graphic design is part of the requisite, so here we are. In the next few editions, I will be focusing on Advertising Design. Advertising Design is a multi-billion dollar industry that survives by creating engaging and relevant content to build a Brand that reaches the right consumer.

This week, I spent quite a bit of time researching the history of graphic art beginning with the 1800s (Soooo not a fan of the DADA period, LOVE all things Bauhaus!) to Marketing notables with my favorite being Seth Godin. Seth Godin @ seths.blog is a real, down-to-earth guy with values that if we all had them, there would absolutely be no discord in the world. He is literally all about doing what's right, giving back, inspiring and motivating people, and getting people to think outside of the box. That is exactly what I aspire to, creating designs that make people think, that motivate them, that make people feel good, feel happy.
